Some men see things that are, and ask, why? I see things that never were and ask, why not?
Robert F. Kennedy
Quoted in Edward M. Kennedys eulogy
to Robert, June 8, 1968
The questions should be, is it worth trying to do, not can it be done.
Allard Lowenstein, political activist
If you want to succeed
you should strike out
on new paths,
rather than travel the
worn paths
of accepted success.
John D. Rockefeller, Sr.
Quick Inspiration For the day: Your Mission In Life
You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievemnet. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand.
Woodrow Wilson
28th President of the United States
Success is the ability to stay with an idea after the initial enthusiasm passes.

NOBLE ACTON'S ELEVEN HABITS
OF CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION
1. Make it a habit to look upon all that is created by humans not merely as the end results of shaping labor and materials but rather as the products of will or volition.
2. Make it a habit to look upon all ideas as potential templates for volition.
3. Make it a habit to see that all ideas have lives of their own.
4. Make it a habit to look upon all problems as opportunities.
5. Make it a habit to nurture recombinatory play-exploring subjects outside your own specialty, consulting areas of knowledge that may seem at first glance to have no relationship to what you are doing.
6. Make it a habit to understand the conditions under which you are your most creative and productive.
7. Make it a habit to take notice of the things that truly excite you in your life.
8. Make it a habit to put your creative acts first, and allow no encumbrances -- not even our own self-pity or fears or arrogance -- to subvert them.
9. Make it a habit to daydream, to imagine yourself enjoying all of your fondest dreams in their final form, that is, as physical realities in the real world.
10. Make it a habit to keep the large picture of your goal fresh in your mind by thinking of it every morning as you awaken.
11. Finally, explore the future vision into which we are learning to move.
In the modern workplace,
There is a growing sense of anxious anticipation, of impending change:
The Shadow of apprehension
Disenchantment and betrayal and
The light of hope, opportunity and new beginnings
These are confusing times.
These are exciting times.
It's time for executives to recognize that employees have souls.
And even better, to start to create organizations with soul.
